35608616?profile=RESIZE_710xThe California Early Start Central Directory of Early Intervention Resources is now online in an entirely new user-friendly and easy-to-access format. This major source of information about early intervention services and resources provides 24/7 access to some 2,000 early intervention services and resources throughout the state from any computer, laptop or mobile device. Early childhood service providers and families can easily identify the services and resources available to families of infants and toddlers with disabilities and how to access those services and resources.

Service coordinators and family support staff may find this a useful tool in helping families locate resources in their community such as Women, Infants and Children (WIC), Social Services, Health Care Program for Children in Foster Care, and more.

Previously a published directory available for download, the online version gives up-to-date information and still offers the comprehensive nature and scope for which the directory is known. The directory is available at and features:

  • An easy-to-use search bar from which users can immediately find their selected service or resource in their county;
  • Comprehensive information about the Early Start system—what it is, how it works, how to get referred, and more;
  • Relevant publications, websites, advocacy organizations, and related partner agencies and resources;
  • Information on where to start and how to get help immediately for those concerned about their child or a child in their care.

A link in the directory invites you to help us keep information current as well as give us feedback about the directory.

The ICC-Recommended Early  Early Start Personnel Manual (ESPM) describes core knowledge and role-specific competencies needed for early intervention service provision, incorporating current research and evidence in the field of early intervention. To access the ESPM, CLICK HERE.
