What's Challenging?

What's challenging about providing Routines-Based Intervention (RBI) in diverse settings and contexts?

Here's what some professionals had to say at the ESPS 2018 world cafe session on natural environments:

  • Lack of parental understanding of what interventions should look like
  • Finding the right environment (setting)
  • Limited time of service provider to gather data
  • No buy-in from providers
  • “Bagless” visit
  • Alternative settings may not be available in very rural/remote settings
  • Increasing use of technology (iPads)
  • Medi-Cal needs for limitation
